"Volunteering" is the topic that brought together 60 young people for a training on project "Step Forward!"

On 01.03.2015 in the town of Lom a training on “Volunteering” held, as a part of the project “Step Forward!” BG05/1020

This is the first of ten planned trainings for volunteers at the Mladenovo foundation, that will be held within the project “Step forward!” BG05/1020 funded by the NGO programme in Bulgaria under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009 – 2014.

The training was held at the Hotel-Restaurant "Dunav" Lom and participants were 60 young people, students and representatives of different roma neighborhoods, and also youth from the city center.

Bringing young Roma and non-Roma in one place aims to create conditions for better communication and cooperation with youth from Lom. Elimination of stereotypes for Roma is another objective of the trainings for young people in the project.

First training on "Effective Communication" as part of project "Step forward!" BG05/1020

 On 14 and 15 of February 2015 in the town of Lom the first training for the team of "Mladenovo" foundation held. The topic was "Effective communication" and the training is part of the project "Step forward!".

In this project are planned six trainings, which will increase the capacity and competency of "Mladenovo" foundation’s team. That will be held within the project "Step Forward!", BG05/1020, funded by the NGO programme in Bulgaria under the European Economic Area Financial Mechanism 2009 - 2014.

Fifteen people from the Foundation's team were trained in hotel-restaurant "Dunav" in Lom from the trainers - Kirilka Angelova and Orhan Tahir. Topics covered in the training: Fundamentals, components and mechanisms of communication; Communication in organizations and teams; Intercultural communication and dialogue.

"Together in diversity through the ages for differences in a new light"

The lifestyle and the traditions of  Roma, the specific issues and richness of their culture were collected in an exhibition, in which objects, tools and supplies of Crafts "coexist" with photos and carry the message that the way to tolerance and acceptance of people with their unique qualities is passed through mutual understanding.
